By accessing or using LinkUp ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Platform. These terms apply to all users, including Job Posters and Workers.
To use LinkUp, you must create an account with accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
Job Posters may post job listings describing work they need completed. Workers may browse and submit proposals for available jobs. All users must verify their email address before engaging in transactions on the platform.
LinkUp uses a virtual currency called "Connects" to facilitate transactions on the platform. Workers spend Connects to submit proposals for jobs. Connects can be purchased through the platform using supported payment methods. Connects are non-refundable once used.
When a Worker completes a job, they may request completion confirmation from the Job Poster. The Job Poster can either confirm completion or raise a dispute. Disputes are reviewed by LinkUp administrators who will make a fair determination. Payment and compensation terms are agreed upon between the Job Poster and Worker directly.
Users must not: post fraudulent or misleading job listings; harass or discriminate against other users; use the platform for illegal activities; create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions; manipulate reviews or ratings. Violation of these rules may result in account suspension or termination.
Both Job Posters and Workers may leave reviews after job completion. Reviews use a double-blind system — reviews only become visible once both parties have submitted their review, or after a waiting period. Reviews must be honest and accurate. LinkUp reserves the right to remove reviews that violate our guidelines.
All Platform content, trademarks, and design elements are the property of LinkUp. Users retain ownership of content they submit (job listings, proposals, reviews). By submitting content, you grant LinkUp a non-exclusive license to display it on the Platform.
LinkUp is a platform for connecting Job Posters and Workers. We do not guarantee the quality of work performed, payment between parties, or the accuracy of user-submitted information. LinkUp is not liable for any damages arising from the use of the Platform, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
LinkUp complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa. We collect and process personal information only as necessary to provide our services. For details on how we handle your data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or platform notifications.
